THE CODE 20, the organization behind avant-garde closing Grand Prix events around the world, being attended by international celebrities and F1 drivers, will be presenting a series of unique shows at its first visit in Sochi during the Russian Grand Prix. THE CODE 20 is organizing the after race party at the Russian Riviera on Sunday October 12th and have invited Merante Tamar van Amersfoort from Amsterdam and Mo Benchellal, designer, producer and creative director of visual shows worldwide.

The one-night event of October 12th will feature a number of cutting-edge shows, which aim to awe even the most spoiled globetrotters. Merante will present fascinating costume and singing performances that will make everyone’s heart race. Besides being a successful impersonator, Merante has also created her own stage persona: ‘Merante in Wonderland’, a theatrical poppy character, creating beautiful, surrealistic, edgy and energetic short stories. She started her career as creative director of Supperclub Amsterdam and after winning Dutch TV talent competitions she started touring worldwide in the best clubs in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dubai, Delhi, Shanghai, Capetown, Johannesburg, London, Berlin, Istanbul, Barcelona, Cannes, Bucharest, Sofia, Moscow, Vienna, Zurich, Dakar, Dominican Republic and Barbados. She performed for the Dutch King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima at the wedding of the famous Dutch glamour couple Micky Hoogendijk and Adam Curry and for the Queen of Pop: Madonna! Currently Merante is working on producing her own music with Jan van Eerd and performing globally with fashion and performance designer Mo Benchellal.

As a performance artist and art director, Benchellal combines his designing skills with his ability to create powerful, multi-dimensional experiences. One of his performances involves visuals that are projected onto a giant dress, transforming it into a dynamic screen accompanied by overwhelming lights and music. His lavish designs became the centre of attention during various occasions ranging from the museum opening in witness of Her Royal Highness Queen Beatrix from the Netherlands to product launches such as BMW X3, the launch of David Lynch’s collaboration with Dom Perignon, MINI Cooper Paceman, and various events with clients such as Elite Models, Sky TV, Polaroid, Philip Morris and night clubs situated in Berlin, Paris, London, Los Angeles, Amsterdam and Zurich. His work has been discovered and published in various fashion magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Cosmopolitan and GQ worldwide.

The event will take place on Sunday October 12th , where the elite of the paddock and the A listed socialite of the Russian Riviera will party in style.
