Lenny Kravitz to headline the Russian GP concerts at Sochi Autodrom
The American singer-songwriter, record producer and actor is known for his classic hits including ‘Are You Gonna Go My Way’, ‘Fly Away’ and ‘American Woman’ as well as his elaborate stage performances. His concert on the Saturday night of the inaugural Russian Grand Prix weekend promises to be equally spectacular.
Kravitz is one of the biggest and best-selling rock stars in the world with a hugely successful career stretching back over nearly three decades and he is a big F1 fan. He won the Grammy Award for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance four years in a row from 1999 to 2002, breaking the record for most wins in that category as well as setting the record for most consecutive wins in one category by a male. He has also been nominated for and won other awards, including American Music Awards, MTV Video Music Awards and BRIT Awards and in recent years has embarked on a very successful acting career, with his most eye-catching role to date being that of Cinna in the Hunger Games franchise.
Lenny Kravitz’s concert is not the only highlight for visitors of the inaugural Russian Grand Prix. Indeed, some of Russia’s best musical artists will be delivering their own special performances for F1 fans over the course of the race weekend. On Friday, October 10th, visitors to the Grand Prix will be able to witness the awesome DJ Rudenko, famous for his soundtrack for the Nations Parade at the 2014 Winter Olympics opening ceremony, delivering one of his spectacular sets on the main stage.
